Mission No. 01
One Thing Three Ways
Discover how viewpoint changes a photograph.
About 10 minutes · flexible
You'll need: Any camera and a familiar object, such as a toy, fruit or plant.
- 1
Choose one thing you want to investigate.
- 2
Make one photo from where you are.
- 3
Move closer, as close as your camera can still focus, and make another.
- 4
Change your height or move to the other side for a third photo. If moving is difficult, ask an adult to turn the object or place it at a different height.
Choose
Put the three images beside each other. Pick the one that shows something you did not notice at first.
Try another idea
Keep the subject in place and change only the background or your viewpoint. Compare what feels different.
Think about it
“What did moving help you see?”
