Golden hour photo tips for kids

Golden hour is the soft, warm light right after sunrise and right before sunset. Everything glows, shadows get long, and faces look gentle.

Three things to try

Stand so the sun is behind your subject and watch the edges light up.

Find a long shadow — yours counts! — and make it the star of the photo.

Take the same photo every 10 minutes and see how the colors change.
